About him:
Dr Cheong has joined Penang Adventist Hospital recently as visiting Consultant Breast & Endocrine Surgeon.
He graduated from University of Malaya in 1995 and obtained the postgraduate Fellowship from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2000.
After serving as general surgeon in Penang General Hospital from 2000 to 2006, Dr Cheong pursued further training in Breast & Endocrine Surgery in Hospital Putrajaya and Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Dr Cheong is competent in management of full spectrum of breast and endocrine conditions. These include breast conserving surgery and sentinel lymph node biopsy for early breast cancer, post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. He is also has keen interest in the surgical management of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal conditions.
Dr Cheong in fluent in Mandarin, Malay, English and Hokkien. He enjoys gardening and fishkeeping during his free time.
