Known once as the Penang X-Ray Specialist Klinik in 1976, Tanjung Medical Centre is a hospital founded in May 1, 1995 that is equipped with advanced specialist diagnostic imaging clinics under the management of the Tanjung Medical Group.

The 108 bedded hospital has a wide range of imaging facilities including X-Rays, fluoroscopic screening, c-arm, portable X-Ray, ultrasound (including power colour doppler 4-D), mammography, spiral CT Scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

With an active role in medical tourism, Tanjung Medical Centre strives to provide affordable and optimum healthcare to complement the efforts of Penang State Tourism Council to make Penang the preferred destination for medical tourism.
